Maruti Suzuki New Cars in India

With facelift of Alto 800 and keeping AltoK10 with no facelift, it seems clear that soon it should be a Redundant Variant of Alto. specially as I heard AGS overheats and gears stop shifting and you get a halt right in the middle of road.

I was looking forward to buy K10 vxi AGS but was shocked to see it has less features than the ones available in Non AGS. Very bad strategy from Maruti Suziki. Its my second car. What do I say, first look at the Baleno, I fell in love with the design.

Performance: Its very smooth drive, just like cutting a cake. I heard some noise, while braking Braking (Drum effect), later got used to it.

Mileage: Initally, it gave me a mileage of 26.7 kms on highway. Yes ofcourse, I have to drive through heavy Chennai City traffic, every day. Not bad, the mileage is around 22+ kms.

Comfort: Very Spacious. More leg Room. The Boot could have been better spacious, but that’s fine for a family of 4.

Cost of Ownership: Mmmh, well the spare parts are honestly not that economic to change. Paint cost is very high. I had a small dent caused by a biker in my left boot, It took at least 6500 7000 to change that. race fairings

Safety: Yes, we can’t expect the same, if u drive at 120 kms/hour and crash. Very realistic with airbags and comfortable seating.

Styling: Already mentioned, I’m in love with my Baleno.

I expected silver colour and entertainment system , that only not available in this varient.

Mileage is good above 21km per litre and pickup is as enough as for 998cc which comforts both city drive and highway ride.

I have compared with WagonR,kwid1.0 it is good and i10 it’s expensive and no ABS on basic variant and it’s cc is high.

As this company is Maruti Suzuki I won’t worry about maintenance, spare parts,re sale value etc.

My Verdict If you want to buy a small segment hatchback for a medium size family it is the best one.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire cost starts from ? 5.92 Lakhs. In this price, you can never find a sedan car with such types of luxuries features. I was driving a non AC Maruti 800 since year 2002 which was purchased by my father at that time. That Maruti 800 is still in a good condition but everybody knows that it?s not spacious and also as it was a non AC, so it was horrible to drive it in summers.

Since Feb 2016, I was thinking of purchasing a new hatchback car (with AC). I belong to a middle class Indian family and my budget was not that high.

I could do without many features (which are available in expensive cars) like power steering, power windows, rear defogger, rear wiper, ABS, Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), speed sensing door lock, parking sensors, vanity mirrors on sun visors and various other luxury features as these were also not available in Maruti 800.

After all I had to shift from a 14 year old non AC Maruti 800 to a better car. I studied about various hatchback cars on internet and then I observed that majority of popular hatchback cars of different brands like Maru
